UK PersonnelPaul Hauser
Paul Hauser is the senior partner in the London office of a multinational firm of lawyers. He is qualified as a
solicitor in England and Wales, and is also admitted as an attorney in New York.
His legal practice concentrates on all aspects of international joint ventures, including experience specifically
in the healthcare field. Paul was responsible for negotiating one of the first private-partnership arrangements
in the NHS. This consisted of a joint venture in 1990 involving (what was then) Guy's Hospital to manage two
large hospitals in Saudi Arabia.
In 1997, he negotiated the first major PFI project in the NHS, Dartford and Gravesham Hospital. Further afield,
he has handled a complex series of litigations in Malaysia stemming from the privatisation of hospital support
services in that county.
Paul was appointed director of several of the UME Group companies in December 2002 and became the UK group
chairman in January 2006.
