Ian Thorley has 30 years of healthcare experience and joined the UME Group in 2008 to lead the development and commercialisation of emerging health service opportunities. Ian has worked in the public and private health sectors in Australia and has consulted to the private medical insurance industry and to private hospital operators. He has managed large portfolios of private hospitals and has experience in public hospital privatisations, aged care services and community care. He has been the Chief Operating officer of a number of health companies and the CEO of Benchmark Healthcare the largest privately owned health care group in Australia. He has been actively involved in the development and innovation of the Australian heath care industry.
