Al Corniche Hospital successfully achieved ISO 9001 accreditation in November 1995 and has now also achieved The Joint Council for International Accreditation (JCIA) which consolidates best practice from around the world. The hospital continues to be monitored on a 6-monthly basis by representatives from the British Standards Institute who formally assess its quality system. All policies and procedures have recently been fully computerised and are available for staff to view through the hospital's email facility.The management team has successfully introduced the Cerner Patient Management System, a US software system designed to correspond to the single-discipline hospital.
